What is the process of cleaning shower glass?

The process differs slightly depending on the age, size, type of build up and the severity of the water staining. The general process entails deep cleaning all the glass and chrome surfaces inside the shower cubicle using specialist cleaning products that have been proven to work. We then use an electric polisher to deep clean the glass even further to remove any stubborn staining and build up deep from within the pores of the glass. Once we have the glass back to an as new condition we apply a protective coating to your glass for easier ongoing maintenance and to prevent future staining.

How long does the complete process take?

The time taken depends on the intensity of the damage. Roughly even hard to remove stains in a regular size shower can be restored in between 2 to 4 hours. If you don’t apply a protective coating the shower can be used immediately. If a coating is applied the shower must be left for a minimum of 3 hours before using.

Does Canny provide any warranty for our restoration service?

Yes, we do. The length of warranty depends on the age and condition of the glass/surface at time of restoration and the products used.

What is the recommended after care post shower glass restoration?

Aftercare is an easy process. We simply ask that you wipe down or squeedgee off the glass after use and clean the glass every 2 weeks with the aftercare products provided. This will prevent any extra build up getting in to the glass and minimise time on any other cleaning.

What is the process of cleaning dirty tiles?

Tiles come in different variety and texture such as slate tiles, marble tiles, granite tiles, vinyl etc. Thereby, the process of cleaning each of them and the products to be used are different. Consider talking to an expert, at Canny we can take a quick look and suggest what would be the right treatment you should go after.

What if I am not satisfied with the restoration?

We are confident you will be satisfied with the transformation as this is what we specialise in. If for any reason you are not satisfied we will return to complete the job to your satisfaction.

What is the process of silicone removal & replacement? Can we do it ourself?

It depends on the depth of the problem. Yes, you can do it yourself if you have the right equipment, products and if you understand the process. Only if it is done the right way it is worth it or else you might end up with even worse looking floors and water ingress issues. Hiring a professional is certainly a good option to consider. Grout discolouration, dirt build up? Why does my tile grout get dirty?

Tiles and Grout when new can be the difference between the WOW factor or not. They don’t stay looking like new for long though and soon create micro hiding places for dirt, oils, and bacteria. The condition worsens in a short amount of time and creates an unacceptable floor or wall that cannot be cleaned by usual methods. Due to the porous structure of grout, it easily absorbs stains, mold, and dirt – particularly if it didn’t have a commercial grade grout sealer protecting it. Acids can also cause discoloration which over time makes your tile grout dull – and sometimes this is irreversible.
